Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hugepano?
Hugepano is a cloud-based platform for creating, hosting, and sharing interactive 360° virtual tours. You upload equirectangular panoramic images, connect them with hotspot navigation, add interactive overlays, and publish to a shareable link or embed code — no coding required.
What cameras are compatible with Hugepano?
Hugepano works with any 360° camera that outputs equirectangular images, including the Insta360 X4, Ricoh Theta Z1, Ricoh Theta SC2, GoPro Max, and any DSLR panoramic rig. There are no proprietary hardware requirements.
What is the 360° Before/After Slider?
The 360° Before/After Slider is Hugepano's exclusive feature that lets you place two panoramic images inside a single spherical viewer with a draggable dividing line. Viewers can compare two states of the same space — before and after a renovation, different staging setups, construction progress, or seasonal changes. No other virtual tour platform offers this feature.
How does Hugepano compare to Matterport?
Matterport specializes in 3D scanning with proprietary hardware and produces a dollhouse-view model. Hugepano works with any standard 360° camera, costs significantly less (starting at €19/month yearly vs Matterport's $49/month), and includes the Before/After Slider. If you need spatial measurements and the Matterport dollhouse view, Matterport is the better fit. If you want flexible, affordable 360° tours with rich interactivity, Hugepano is the stronger choice.
How does Hugepano compare to Kuula?
Both platforms host 360° virtual tours. Hugepano's key differentiators are the exclusive 360° Before/After Slider (not available on Kuula), full white-label branding from the Starter plan, and richer interactive overlay options. Hugepano's Starter plan is priced at €19/month (billed annually). See the full comparison on our Kuula alternative page.
How does Hugepano compare to Cloudpano?
Hugepano and Cloudpano are closely priced. Hugepano's main advantage is the 360° Before/After Slider, which Cloudpano doesn't offer at any tier. Hugepano also includes white-label branding from the Starter plan. See our full Cloudpano vs Hugepano comparison.
Can I remove the Hugepano branding from my tours?
Yes — white-label branding (removing the Hugepano logo and adding your own) is included in all paid plans starting from the Starter plan at €19/month (billed annually).
What file formats does Hugepano accept?
Hugepano accepts standard equirectangular panoramic images in JPEG and PNG format. Images should be in a 2:1 aspect ratio (e.g., 8000×4000 pixels) for best results.
Can I embed a Hugepano tour on my website?
Yes. Every published tour includes an iframe embed code that works on any website, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, and custom HTML sites. Tours also get a direct shareable link and a QR code.
How many tours can I have active at once?
The Starter plan (€19/month, billed annually) includes 3 active tours. The Pro plan (€47/month, billed annually) includes 15 active tours. The Agency plan (€129/month, billed annually) includes 30 active tours.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes — all plans include a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You can build and publish complete tours before your trial ends.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you can switch plans anytime from your dashboard. Plan changes take effect immediately after your current billing cycle ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
What happens to my projects if I cancel or downgrade?
Your projects and data remain safely stored. On downgrade, some advanced features may be disabled, but nothing is deleted unless you remove it manually.
How does Hugepano protect my data?
Hugepano uses secure encryption, GDPR-compliant practices, and trusted cloud infrastructure to ensure your data stays private and protected.
Can I use Hugepano for hotel virtual tours?
Yes — Hugepano is widely used in hospitality. Hotels and resorts use it to create interactive property tours showing rooms, amenities, and outdoor spaces. Tours can be embedded on booking pages and OTA listings. See our virtual hotel tour guide for details.
Does Hugepano work on mobile?
Yes. All Hugepano tours are fully mobile-optimized and work on iOS and Android browsers without any app download. Viewers can explore tours by tilting their device or using touch controls.
