Free Online 360° Photo Viewer

Drag in an equirectangular 360° photo and look around right away. The viewer runs in your browser, needs no account, and your photo is never uploaded.

Showing a demo pattern. Choose your own equirectangular JPEG, PNG or WebP (2:1 ratio works best).

How to view a 360° photo online

  1. Export your panorama as an equirectangular JPEG, PNG or WebP. Most 360° cameras and their apps can do this.
  2. Drop the file onto the viewer or press “Choose a 360° photo”.
  3. Look around: drag with the mouse or your finger, scroll or pinch to zoom, or use the arrow keys.

What the viewer is good for

Use it to check a panorama before you publish it: is the horizon level, is the stitching clean, is anyone standing in the shot? It works with files from cameras such as the Insta360 X4, Ricoh Theta Z1 and GoPro Max, and with panoramas from a DSLR panoramic rig, as long as the result is a full equirectangular image.

The viewer is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Large files are scaled down to what your graphics card can display, so very high-resolution panoramas open without errors. Nothing leaves your device while you do this.

Tips for checking a panorama

From a single photo to a shareable tour

A viewer shows one panorama on your own screen. A virtual tour connects several panoramas, adds hotspots with text, links and video, and gives you a link or embed code that works for everyone. That is what Hugepano does: create a virtual tour from your panoramas, add Smart Spots, and share or embed the result on your website.

Frequently asked questions

How do I view a 360° photo online?
Open the viewer above, then drag a 360° photo onto it or choose a file. The photo is displayed right away and you can look around by dragging, scrolling to zoom or using the arrow keys.
Which file formats does the 360° photo viewer support?
It displays equirectangular panoramas as JPEG, PNG or WebP. Equirectangular images have a 2:1 aspect ratio, for example 8000×4000 pixels, and are what most 360° cameras such as the Insta360 X4, Ricoh Theta Z1 or GoPro Max produce.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is opened and rendered inside your browser only. It is not sent to a server, so you can check private panoramas safely.
Why does my photo look stretched or distorted?
The viewer expects a full equirectangular panorama with a 2:1 aspect ratio. Regular photos and partial panoramas will look stretched because they do not cover the whole sphere.
How do I share or embed my 360° photo?
This viewer is for checking a panorama quickly. To publish a tour with a link, an embed code for your website and hotspots, upload the photo to Hugepano.
